Angeline “Angie” Rose (DiProspero) Owens, known as Mommom, age 90, of West Grove, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware, surrounded by her loving family.
Born at West Grove Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Josephine (Feconda) DiProspero. Angie was the beloved wife of the late Charlie Owens, with whom she shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in family, faith, hard work, and love—a bond that continues to inspire all who knew them.
Angie worked for over 30 years with F&M Scientific, Hewlett-Packard, and Agilent Technologies. She also gave generously of her time volunteering at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in West Grove, where her kindness and faith touched many. For years, she played a beloved role in the church’s annual spaghetti dinner—faithfully preparing meatballs and sauce that everyone looked forward to. Angie’s humble service and devotion to her parish community reflected her deep love for the Lord and her belief in serving others with joy and gratitude.
Those who knew Angie will remember her as a true spitfire with a heart of gold—strong-willed, loving, and always ready with a smile or a quick-witted remark. You could often find her having lunch and laughing with her friends at Luigi’s Pizza, sharing stories and enjoying every bite like it was the best meal in town. She loved playing the horses, enjoyed a little gambling for fun, and delighted in celebrating holidays and family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose laughter and accomplishments filled her heart with pride.
Angie is survived by her son, Charles Owens and his wife, Patricia of West Grove; her grandchildren, Joe Owens, Greg Cross, Naomi Owens, Kristen Parker, and Christine Pieretti; her great-grandchildren, Breanna, Justin, Neko, Charlie, and Cecilia; and her great-great-grandchildren, Devyn and Oliver.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Owens Cross; her siblings, Jeanette Nigro, Carmen DiProspero, and Margaret DiProspero; and her great-grandchild, Chelsea Owens.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:15–11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 300 State Road, West Grove, PA 19390. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m., with interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 460 North Union Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Angie’s memory may be made to Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 300 State Street, West Grove, PA 19390, or by performing an act of kindness in her honor—a fitting tribute to a woman whose life was defined by love, generosity, faith, and service to others.
