Antonette M. (nee DiMarco) Biondi, age 99, of Toughkenamon, PA, died September 21, 2025, at Pocopson Home.
Antonette is predeceased by her devoted husband, John Biondi. They celebrated 75 years of marriage May 3, 2022, before his passing in August of the same year. She is also predeceased by her parents, Vincent & Barbara (nee Mancini) DiMarco and her five siblings, Mary (Rossi), Dora (Vito), Dom, Vince, and Frank, of whom she was the eldest.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Fred (Rosemary) of Kennett Square; Barbara A. Sedlak (Jim) of West Chester, PA; Paul of Eugene, OR; and Michael (Adrienne) of Newport, DE. She is also the proud Mom Mom to five loving grandchildren, Christine, Nicole, Stephen, Stephanie, and Matt; and two great-grandchildren, John and Layla Sedlak.
She was born and raised in Devon, PA, and worked for Bell Telephone Company in Philadelphia, PA. She met her husband, John, when he noticed a picture of her at his uncle’s house a few doors down the street. After marrying and moving to Toughkenamon, PA, she worked alongside John in his mushroom business (Biondi Brothers Mushroom), packing mushrooms and keeping a busy household running like clockwork. Antonette’s married life revolved around her home and her family. She made and hosted huge 5-course Italian-style dinners at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Her Christmas cookies were amazing, and spaghetti sauce (gravy) and meatballs were everyone’s favorite.
She enjoyed many trips to Virginia and Myrtle Beaches, Phillies games, and day trips in the fall to the Poconos.
She attended all of her children’s baseball games, orchestra, band, and chorus concerts, and loved going to the Kennett Symphony Orchestra.
We want to include our sincere thanks to Aimee Ragazzo, Kennett Friends Home, and Pocopson Home for the loving care extended to Antonette.
Whenever you entered Antonette's home you were always greeted with "Are you hungry?" “Can I get you something to eat?" "Let me see what I can whip up." With that generosity of spirit in mind and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chester County Food Bank located in Exton, PA, chestercountyfoodbank.org/ways-to-give, or any organization of your choice who help the needy.
Antonette was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
