Doris Grace Stanford Graham, age 97, of West Grove, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2023 at Jenners Pond Retirement Community in West Grove, PA.

She was the beloved wife of the late H. Robert (Bob) Graham, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. She resided most of her marriage years in Morton, PA., moving to Jenner's Pond in 2008.

Doris and her twin, Ruth, were born on January 20, 1926 in Jersey City, NJ to the late George and Emma Stanford. The twins made people do a double take, since they really looked alike and sounded alike.

Doris graduated from Bogota High School in 1944. She married Bob Graham on April 26, 1952. While raising their 2 daughters, Doris was always actively involved in home and school activities, Kedron Youth Sports , and an active volunteer for the Episcopal church activities and events ( including altar guild and craft groups).

She was an active member of The Church of Atonement, Morton, PA, St Stephen's Episcopal Church in Clifton Heights, PA, and The Church of Advent in Kennett Square, PA.

Doris always had a smile for everyone she met. She was a social butterfly, greeting everyone, and making friends wherever she went. She got great joy in participating in activities, games, clubs, craft groups, and trips. She even participated in the Rustin chimes last year. She just enjoyed being with people.

Doris was delighted when Linda and Steve gave her grandkids.  She glowed when they were around.  Doris was so proud of Robert and Emma and their accomplishments.

She was an avid animal lover, of which she has passed on her passion to her daughters. There was always a dog in the family, and a few critters that made their way into the Graham household. She loved the wild birds, and could identify almost any local species. Later, she became involved with pet birds , and participated in local bird clubs with her daughter, Cathi. She became involved with dog training clubs. She loved her shih tzu, Teddy Bear. Doris and Teddy became an awesome therapy team with Paws For People. Teddy and Doris loved bringing cheer to those needing a little love. In the last few years, she received that joy from the four legged visitors and friends from Paws for People, coming to see her. Even if it was a bad day, she would light up and smile at the sight of an approaching pup.

Doris is predeceased by her husband, Bob Graham, and her sisters Louise, Jane, Georgene, and twin sister Ruth. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Cathi Graham of Morton, Pa and Linda Beatty (Steve) of West Grove, Pa, her 2 grandchildren, Robert and Emma, and many nieces and nephews.
