Eileen Mary Fogarty

Eileen Fogarty (née Galloni), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 03, 2026, at the age of 88 at The Summit in Hockessin, DE, where she lived for the past two years.

Eileen is survived by her devoted husband, Eugene P. Fogarty, and her six children: Kevin (Susan) Fogarty, Julie (Jim) Hahn, David (Dianne) Fogarty, Keith (Laura) Fogarty, Megan (John) Murray, and Jenna (Seth) Goodman. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom were a great source of joy and pride in her life.

Born on December 8, 1937, in Framingham, MA, to proud Italian immigrant parents, Eileen moved with her family to Phoenixville, PA, in search of closer family ties. She attended St. Mary’s School in Phoenixville and later graduated from Phoenixville High School. Following graduation, she worked as a secretary for Phoenix Steel Company and later served as Senior Secretary to the President of Lincoln University.

Between these roles, Eileen devoted herself to raising her children while supporting her husband’s United States Navy career, including relocations to Milton, FL, and Imperial Beach, CA. She and her husband also made a home in Norristown, PA. For 56 years, they enjoyed their family life in West Grove, PA. They also enjoyed a brief time in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, while her husband did consulting work. Throughout her life, Eileen built lasting friendships and memories wherever she lived.

Eileen was an active member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church in West Grove, PA, where she chaired the parish’s inaugural community senior citizen Christmas dinner—an effort that reflected her generosity and commitment to service.

Eileen will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her quiet strength, and her lifelong spirit of care for others. Her faith guided her life and her service to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and compassion that will continue to live on through her family.

You are invited to visit with Eileen's family and friends from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 300 State Road, West Grove, PA 19390. Her funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will be held privately.
