Florencio Escobar Olivarez

Florencio Escobar Olivarez, age 68, of Toughkenamon, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 2, 2026, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. He was the husband of Margarita Pedroza Mondragon, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Born in Cuahutenco, Almoloya de Alquisiras, Mexico, he was a son of the late Anacleto Escobar Hernandez and the late Maria Guadalupe Olivarez Velazquez.

Florencio worked for approximately ten years at Basciani Foods in Avondale, PA. He was a very hard-worker and he enjoyed his job.

In his spare time, he enjoyed talking to his grandchildren on FaceTime. He liked to draw, especially images of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Florencio will be missed for his kind-heart and solidarity. Florencio always supported those in need.

He will be remembered for strong character and perseverance. He met all the goals that he set for himself.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Florencio Escobar Pedroza, Margarita Escobar Pedroza, Ericka Escobar Pedroza, Angel Escobar Pedroza, and Yesika Escobar Pedroza; his grandchildren, Samuel, Daniel, and Yuritzy; and his siblings, Moises, Santiago, Trinidad, and Lucia. He was predeceased by his two sons Daniel Escobar Pedroza and Jesus Escobar Pedroza.

You are invited to visit with Florencio Escobar’s family and friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, May 8, 2026, at St. Rocco’s Catholic Church, 333 Sunnydell Road, Avondale, PA 19311. His funeral mass will follow at 12:00 PM. Interment will be held in Mexico.

Fue el esposo de Margarita Pedroza Mondragon con quien compartió 49 años de matrimonio. Florencio trabajo para Basciani Foods en Avondale, PA por aproximadamente 10 años. He fue muy trabajador y disfrutaba su trabajo.

En su tiempo libre, disfrutaba hablando con sus nietos por video llamada. Le gustaba dibujar, especialmente imágenes de la Virgen de Guadalupe.

Florencio será extrañado por su corazón bondadoso y solidaridad. Florencio siempre apoyaba a todo aquel que lo necesitaba.

Sera recordado por su carácter fuerte y su perseverancia. Cumplió cada una de sus metas.

Además de su esposa, es sobrevivido por sus hijos, Florencio Escobar Pedroza, Margarita Escobar Pedroza, Ericka Escobar Pedroza, Angel Escobar Pedroza, y Yesika Escobar Pedroza; sus nietos, Samuel, Daniel, y Yuritzy; y sus hermanos, Moises, Santiago, Trinidad, y Lucia. Le predecieron en muerte sus dos hijos Daniel Escobar Pedroza y Jesus Escobar Pedroza.

Se les invita a visitar con la familia y los amigos de Florencio Escobar de 11 AM a 12 PM el viernes 8 de mayo de 2026 en la Iglesia San Roque ubicada en, 333 Sunnydell Road, Avondale, PA 19311. Su misa fúnebre le seguirá a las 12:00 PM. Su entierro será en México.
