Frances Kinsey “Fleecie” Schwendeman, age 95, of Oxford, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 20, 2026, at Ware Presbyterian Village in Oxford, PA. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas A. Schwendeman, with whom she shared more than 73 years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of Ralph James Kinsey and Anne Connell Kinsey. Fleecie grew up in the heart of Kennett Square. After marrying Tom, the couple spent time in Texas while he completed basic training for the Army prior to his deployment to Korea. They later returned to Kennett Square, where they raised their family.

They bowled at PAAC lanes in Kennett for many years and continued the tradition at Bowlero in Delaware well into their 90’s. They also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, including Alaska, in their camper.

In later life, Tom and Fleecie moved to Ware Presbyterian Village in Oxford, where they spent their remaining years.

Fleecie was a member of Kennett Square Presbyterian Church and East Lynn Grange, and a graduate of Kennett High School (1949). She dedicated many years as a stay-at-home mother to her three children before beginning a career in administrative roles, including positions with Swayne Spawn, Kendal/Crosslands, and the Smedley Business, which operated the Red Fox Golf Course.

An avid reader throughout her life, Fleecie embraced modern technology in her later years, building an extensive digital library on her Kindle. She also shared her love of reading by managing the on-site library at Ware Village.

Though an only child, she remained close to a large extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles. She is survived by her children: Ralph A. Schwendeman and his wife Susan Latimer; Diane S. Pesce and her husband Joe Pesce; and Robert Schwendeman. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Daniel Schwendeman, Kelly Schwendeman, Alex Schwendeman, Derek Schwendeman and his wife Kiersten, Nicole Fragale and her husband Joe Fragale, and Lisa Pesce; as well as her great-grandchildren: Stella Schwendeman, Beckett Schwendeman, Archer Schwendeman, and Roman Fragale.

Her family extends heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care provided by the staff of Ware Presbyterian Senior Living and Willow Tree Hospice during her final days.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Oxford Library Company, 48 S. 2nd Street, Oxford, PA 19363.
