Gary Ames Schuck, age 85, of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday April 20, 2026 at his home in Chadds Ford, PA. He was the husband of Christine Liedig Schuck, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Hazleton, PA, he was a son of the late George Schuck and the late Ruth Evans Schuck.

Gary was a 1958 graduate of Emmaus High School. He was active in Boy Scouts of America, reaching the rank of Eagle Scout and Brotherhood Member of Order of the Arrow. He was a proud Penn State alumni, graduating in 1963 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1969 he earned an MBA from Lehigh University.

Gary’s career in public power utilities included working for PP&L and Delmarva Power and Light. In his later years he worked for PJM Interconnection. He was an avid antique car enthusiast and member of the AACA Pottstown Region. He also served many leadership roles within the Pontiac-Oakland Club International (POCI) Keystone State chapter. In his retirement years, he enjoyed exploring Europe on river cruises with his wife and close friends, as well as spending time with family gathered around a large table built just for that.

In addition to his wife Christine, he is survived by son Gregory Schuck and wife Heather of Chadds Ford, PA, daughter Suzy Hess and husband Michael of Mechanicsburg, PA, and seven grandchildren: Padraig, Jakob, Michaela, Moxie, Beckett, Shepard, and Gracie, and one great-grandson, Oliver. He also leaves behind a beloved companion, his dog Heidi.

A private graveside service will be held in Emmaus, PA. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Contributions in his memory can be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA https://bvspca.org/donate/donation-form
