Lois Galloway

Virginia Lois Galloway, age 93, of Coatesville, PA, (formerly from West Grove, PA) passed away on January 1, 2026, at her home. She married the late Richard Galloway on July 24,1950. She was a daughter of the late Carl Pennington and the late Carmel (Roark) Pennington.

Lois was a talented craftsperson. She did embroidery, cross stitch, quilting, and sewing. She was known for making beautiful dresses for her daughters that were the envy of all their friends, as well as doll clothes for her children and grandchildren’s dolls and Barbies. Her quilting, cross stitching, and embroidery were equally beautiful.

In addition to crafting, Lois was an avid reader of romance novels. She also got hooked on diamond painting and often made one or two a day. She loved the music of Elvis and anything to do with gnomes.

When her husband was alive they enjoyed going for car rides on Sunday afternoons and listening to the radio. Lois was a Christian and was honest to a fault.

Lois is survived by her children, Bonnie Griffith, Richard Galloway, Philip Galloway (Pamela), Jane Hindman (Dave), and Erin Highfield; her grandchildren, Matthew Griffith (Katy), Christina Trimble (Mike), Dawn Galloway, Kevin Galloway (Victoria), Jodie Cruse, David Hindman (Betsy), Jennifer Richardson (Ryan), Joshua Highfield, and Kalyn Highfield; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Jean Snoke and Gerrie Goodwin.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by 2 siblings, a son-in-law, Robert Highfield, and a great-granddaughter, Kaia Highfield.
