Mary Elizabeth (Willis) Sinton, age 95, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, passed away on the 14th of May 2026.

She was the wife of the late Alan Sinton, who died in 2016, and with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Northville, MI, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Henry Willis and the late Grace Biery Willis.

She was raised in County Armagh, Northern Ireland, where she met and married her husband and had four children. They moved to Drexel Hill, PA in 1954 where the family grew with the addition of three more children. The family then moved to Mendenhall, PA, in 1968 where Mary and Alan established their new HVAC business, Alan Sinton, Ltd. In 1969, their eighth child was born to make her family complete.

She was a member of Hamorton United Methodist Church and the Kennett Area Senior Center.

Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, sewing, summers on the Sassafras River in Galena, MD, and always “a good cuppa tea”! She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by eight children, Fred Sinton (Alexia), Hester O’Gara (Jim), Diana Zahner, June Scheffler (Ned), Carol Sinton-Shimpeno (Michael), Robert Sinton (Anita), Bill Sinton (Karen), and Christina Sinton Gorman (Martin); two sisters, Jean Perks, and Janet Stewart; four brothers, Richard Willis, Robert Willis, Joe Willis, Terry Willis, and dozens of nieces and nephews; Twenty-six Grandchildren, Sarah, Lizzie, Jessie, Annie, Kelly, Colleen, Alison, Rachel, Sean, Pat, Eddie, Bobby, Eric, Will, Alex, Sevan, Alena, Nina, Beau, Andrew, Drew, Matthew, Jamie, Mallory, Aodhán, and Rónán; nineteen Great-Grandchildren, Adrianna, Ivy, Tallulah, Anemone, Hope, Dillon, Caeden, Brody, Skyler, Presley, Drake, Maxwell, Tristan, Annabella, Caleb, Miles, Brayden, Kit, Mac, Madison, and Keira. She was predeceased by two sisters, Gracie Willis and Phoebe Willis Rennie.

You are invited to visit with Mary's family and friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Willowdale Chapel, 675 Unionville Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348.  Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.  Interment will take place at Longwood Cemetery, 945 Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA 19348 following the funeral.   Please join us in celebrating and honoring Mary's spirit by wearing a bit of purple.
