Ray A. Miller Jr.

Ray A. Miller Jr. of Kennett Square, PA, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA, with his brother and his niece by his side. 

He was 87 years old, and was born in West Jefferson, North Carolina, on December 9, 1938. He was the son of the late Ray A. Miller and the late Ola M. Miller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Nieda Roop, Juanita Kirk (Wanda), Carlene Witt, Rebecca Richardson (Polly), and Virginia (Dare) Kelly. 

He is survived by his brother, Elmer Miller, and his special niece, Sibil Poppiti, as well as other nieces and nephews. 

June was a self-taught painter and mechanic by trade and was excellent at both. He could repair anything. 

He loved fishing and enjoyed visiting Delaware State Parks in his spare time. Among all his nieces and nephews, he was considered the favorite uncle. 

The family will hold a private graveside remembrance at a future date.
