Robert Edson Hart, age 100, of West Grove, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 1, 2026, at his home. He was the spouse of Barbara Hart, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage. Born in South Bend, Indiana, he was the son of the late Harold Hart and the late Beatrice (Reimer) Hart.

Bob served our country in the Navy during World War II.

In his work life, he was a cost accountant working in the Aviation Parts Industry. He retired in the 1980’s.

Music was a large part of Bob’s life. He played trombone, wrote his own music, and was skilled with jazz improvisation. In retirement, he continued to embrace music and played with several bands. He also enjoyed singing. Performing music was so important for Bob.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his son, Brian Hart, and his wife, Robin, of South Bend, Indiana; three grandchildren, Kevin Hart, Cassandra Dreher, and Brandon Hart; and 4 great-grandchildren, Carter, Madison, Calan, and Kenzi. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Eric Hart.

You are invited to visit with Robert’s family and friends from 10:00–11:00 AM on July 17, 2026, at Avondale Presbyterian Church, 420 Pennsylvania Avenue, Avondale, PA 19311. His memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately.
