The family of our beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, Susan Stranahan Ciallella, announces with deep sorrow her passing from this earthly world. Susan's life was a testament to beauty, grace, and unwavering kindness and intense devotion. The warmth she radiated, her steadfast loyalty, and her advocacy for those she loved will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her. Her laughter, generosity, and unshakable decency touched countless lives and will remain with us always.
Susan was a devoted wife, sister, and mother, and an intensely loyal friend. She was truly adored by all who knew her, and we are grateful she found profound joy and solace with the love of her life, Ralph De Martino. Though her time with us was far too brief, every moment shared with Susan was a precious gift. As we move forward, we are challenged to honor her legacy by embracing her spirit of purity, generosity, intense loyalty and goodness in our own lives.
Susan faced many health challenges with courage and grace, leaving us on May 24. Her memory will forever be cherished.
She was predeceased by her beloved daughters, Blair Aryn (January 26, 2007) and Bryse Ayn (May 6, 2020), whose loss she bore with immense strength.
Susan's legacy lives on through her loving family: her husband, Ralph; her brothers, Mike and Bill, Bill's wife, Donna; her children and their spouses-Connor, who she loved more than life itself, and his wife Thaise, Andy (Ryan), Matthew (Laura), Kira (Courtney), and Bruce (Danielle); and her grandchildren-Celia, Nora, Everly, Owen, Emma, Kinsey, Lila, Brayden, Kendall, and Gavin. She was also blessed with four cherished nieces and nephews and their spouses-Jonathan (Missy), Kathryn (Erik), Billy (Sabrina), and Jillian-and their spirited children, Margot, Charlotte, Oliver, and Grady.
To celebrate Susan's remarkable journey and the love she shared, visitation and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Willowdale Chapel, 675 Unionville Rd, Kennett Square, PA 19348. Visitation will take place between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, and will be followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Susan will be laid to rest at Longwood Cemetery, 945 E. Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA 19348, beside her beloved daughters, Bryse and Blair. Family and close friends are invited to join in a celebration of Susan's life at the Mendenhall Inn, 323 Kennett Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317 following the burial.
Though Susan has left this world, her spirit remains with us-guiding, inspiring, and reminding us to live with the same love and grace she so freely gave.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to organizations that support the men and women that have served our country and their families.
Arrangements are by Grieco Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (484-734-8100) of Kennett Square, PA. To view her online tribute and to share a memory with her family, please visit www.griecofunerals.com.
